“Diwali is not just a festival of lights; it is a celebration of hope, happiness and togetherness.”

DAV Public School, Pushpanjali Enclave, organised a vibrant two-day Diwali Mela on 15 and 16 October 2026, transforming the school premises into a lively hub of festivity, creativity and community spirit.

The mela featured a diverse range of stalls curated by various school clubs, including the Eco Club, Rotary Club and Mental Health Club. Visitors explored an eclectic collection of products, ranging from intricate mandala art, handmade crochet creations and decorative diyas to homemade pickles, stationery, traditional attire and exquisite jewellery. The food stalls were a major highlight, offering a tempting variety of scrumptious and hygienically prepared delicacies that delighted visitors. Adding to the excitement, the Sports Department organised an array of engaging and innovative games. The ATL team introduced an AI-powered photobooth, providing a unique blend of technology and entertainment, while the Music Faculty created a lively ambience with its live singing stall.

Under the able leadership of Principal Ms Rashmi Raj Biswal, the mela provided a meaningful platform for fostering creativity, entrepreneurial skills and collaboration. The event concluded on a joyous note, celebrating the spirit of Diwali through shared experiences, collective participation and a strong sense of togetherness.
