Gandhiji’s birth anniversary (2nd October) is globally observed as the International Day of Non-Violence underlining his philosophy of non-violence to achieve social or political change. Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti organised a Prayer Meet to remember Gandhiji on the occasion of his 153rd birth anniversary . A team of twenty students from class VII-VIII were invited to be a part of a musical tribute to the father of the nation. As Gandhiji was an ardent appreciator of music , his Anniversary celebrations included Sarv-Dharm text recitations and bhajan singing , our student vocationalists and Instrumentalists became a part of this special choir .Bhajans inciting feelings of truth, non-violence, patriotism and love for the nation were also sung by Padmashri Shri Hari Haran ji .
